Meet ‘One of the World’s Great Souls’

Published by PETA.

Animal rights crusader and environmental advocate, author, and filmmaker Dr. Michael Tobias has devoted his life to making the world better, prompting PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk to dub him “one of the world’s great souls.”

As president of the Dancing Star Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates animal protection and environmental education, Tobias coproduced a film series called State of the Earth. The provocative three-part series examines ways to promote animal welfare, stop environmental degradation, and improve general sustainability. The series of three 50-minute videos proposes a new ethical standard and real-world ideas for putting it in place.

You can see the entire video series, including discussions with Ingrid, at dancingstarfoundation.org.
