US Travel Companies Help Elephants in Thailand by Dropping All Elephant Bathing Experiences!

After hearing from PETA about the suffering of elephants forced to bathe with humans in Thailand, Discover Corps, Journeys International, and Project Expedition dropped all elephant bathing experiences from their booking sites. They join more than 50 companies that do not offer elephant riding or bathing. Tourists should avoid all sham elephant sanctuaries that offer riding or bathing experiences. Elephants used for baths often endure the same abuse as those used for rides, such as being forcibly separated from their mothers, immobilized with tightly bound ropes, and gouged with nail-studded sticks or other sharp objects.
