The University of Virginia School of Law honored alumnus and PETA Foundation General Counsel Jeff Kerr with the Shaping Justice Award for Extraordinary Achievement. Over the last 25 years, he’s been a pioneer in the struggle to achieve fundamental rights for animals. From defeating unconstitutional “ag-gag” laws to arguing that orcas should be granted legal personhood and much more, he’s leading a team that’s expanding justice for animals around the world.
