Westfield Agrees to Remove Fish Tank Vending Machine

After speaking with PETA, Westfield agreed to remove the “Feed the Fish—Make a Wish” vending machine tank at its Sarasota Square mall. The machine—which encouraged people to pay to feed the fish—was problematic because it supported the cruel commercial pet trade and didn’t offer a way to ensure that each fish received the amount of food that he or she required.
