More Brands Turn Away From the Cruel Mohair Industry

Thanks to PETA, more than 150 brands have made the compassionate decision to ban mohair after learning that it comes from terrified angora goats who are routinely pinned to the ground and scream during shearing. Thousands of these gentle, defenseless animals die slowly and painfully from exposure to the elements after they’re robbed of their natural insulation. Some of the most recent bans come from ASOS, Men’s Wearhouse, ModCloth, and Jo-Ann Stores.
