80 Equines Seized From a Hoarder in Boston, Georgia

April 2012

A complainant contacted PETA about a perpetrator who was hoarding equines and several calves at a ranch in rural Georgia. State officials had an open investigation, but we connected them with our complainant and a local agency, which bolstered their case. Ultimately, 78 horses, two calves, a miniature mule, and two donkeys were seized, and the perpetrator is being charged with cruelty to animals and felony theft.
