PETA is gearing up for the holiday season in the best way we know how: with a big bag of gifts that make a major animal-friendly statement, all available for purchase at the PETA Shop.

From PETA’s first-ever “children’s book for adults” (which juxtaposes cute illustrations with recordings of actual animal screams) to the ugliest of “ugly Christmas sweaters” (which features a three-dimensional “bleeding” sheep abused by the wool industry), these unique gifts can’t be found anywhere else. Add a few crowd-pleasers like stylish knit hats and hot cocoa mixes and there’s truly something for everyone—plus each item is really two gifts in one, since every purchase benefits PETA’s year-round work to help animals.

The Secret Lives of Animals: This provocative adults-only book uses nursery rhymes and sweet illustrations—plus a sound feature of different animal screams—to convey the horrors that animals endure in laboratories and marine parks, on hunting ranches, in the meat industry, and elsewhere.

Spy Pens: Anyone who works around animals can channel their inner Spy Kid with this stealthy gadget, which presents as a pen but is actually a high-tech recording device that fits neatly into a shirt pocket—enabling witnesses of cruelty to animals to obtain proof of incidents they report.

Turkey Lawn Ornament: This big, inflatable bird is ready to roost on kind people’s front lawns as an impossible-to-miss reminder that eating turkeys on Thanksgiving and every other day of the year is clucking cruel.

Hot Cocoa/Vegan Marshmallows Gift Set: When the weather outside gets frightful, this set of easy-to-make hot cocoa mix, vegan marshmallows, and a handy mug is here to save the day and warm you from the inside out.

PETA’s gift guide also offers a variety of compassionate fashion items, including the stylish Cat and Bunny Beanies, complete with slogans advocating for cruelty-free cosmetics and companion animal adoption; the “Eat No Turkey” T-Shirt, modeled by longtime animal advocate and PETA supporter Paul McCartney; the “Faux Is So Delightful” Holiday Apron, perfect for any vegan chef; and, of course, the “Wool Hurts” Ugly Holiday Sweater, which puts the ugliness of the wool industry front and center.

“PETA’s creative, conversation-starting gifts are the perfect way to spread an animal rights message over the holiday season,” says PETA Vice President Colleen O’ Brien. “Every single person who opts for one of these items helps bring good tidings to animals all year round.”

PETA’s motto is “Animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way,” and we oppose speciesism, which is a human-supremacist worldview.
