Reward of up to $5,000 Offered for Help in Geese-Killing Case
PETA Enlists Public’s Assistance in Search for Person(s) Who Ran Over 20 Geese and Left Them for Dead

Late on the evening of Thursday, June 21, the bodies of approximately 20 geese were found in the street, apparently having been run over with a vehicle in the 1400 block of E. Northside Boulevard. Authorities are investigating but have yet to make any arrests in connection with the crime, so PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction for cruelty to animals of the person or persons responsible.
“Someone out there drove a car through a flock of geese, leaving their mangled bodies strewn along the street,” says PETA Vice President Colleen O’Brien. “PETA is asking the public to help find whoever did this before this violent culprit strikes again.”
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—offers tips for helping wildlife and reporting cruelty to animals on its website.
