Denver Becomes First City Outside California to Ban Declawing

The Denver City Council voted unanimously on November 13, 2017 to ban declawing, a painful and traumatic procedure that involves partially amputating a cat’s toes, often causing lifelong physical and behavioral issues. The new ordinance makes Denver the first U.S. city outside California to ban the cruel practice.
