Progress! Pesticides Registration Committee of India Takes Steps to Spare Animals’ Lives

In a step forward for animals used for pesticide testing in India, the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee has made several changes to a guidance document on pesticide registrations, such as providing criteria for waiving certain tests on animals and accepting non-animal testing methods. The move follows an appeal from and meetings with PETA India. See here.
