Animals shouldn’t be subjected to any of these things. But in the U.S. Department of Defense’s archaic and cruel training exercises, they are sliced, chopped, hacked, and ripped open with these and other devices while still alive, as this PETA eyewitness video proves:

The U.S. military continues to mutilate thousands of live animals each year, even though high-tech human patient simulators—which can bleed, breathe, talk, and even die—provide personnel with more effective and less costly training. These machines can be used again and again, and nearly 80 percent of the U.S.’ NATO allies already employ them instead of animals in their military medical programs.

Urge your congressional representatives to cosponsor the bipartisan Battlefield Excellence through Superior Training (BEST) Practices Act(S. 587/H.R. 1095), which will spare animals’ lives and ensure that servicemembers learn lifesaving medical skills via the most effective modern technology.
