Homeless Animals in Montana Are Spared the Gas Chamber

Lincoln County, Montana, residents contacted PETA when they learned that their animal shelter was planning to buy a gas chamber. Apparently, the managers of the shelter could not keep accurate records on euthanasia, and the veterinarian with whom they contracted refused to do intravenous injections for them anymore. After we and countless concerned citizens wrote to the county commissioners, they agreed to contract out with another nearby vet in lieu of buying the gas chamber.
