Bonobos Pulls Commercial That Exploits Chimpanzees

After receiving complaints about a Bonobos Inc. ad that featured a trained chimpanzee wearing swim trunks, PETA contacted the men’s clothing and swimwear company. We told its CEO about the cruelty inherent in the procurement, training, and disposal of great apes and the negative effects that portraying chimpanzees as comical subhumans has on conservation. Bonobos pulled the ad and assured PETA that it will not feature great apes in any future ads.
