Wayne State University Bans Live Animals at Campus Events

Following a letter from PETA and complaints from students, the Wayne State University student council made the compassionate decision to prohibit the use of live animals at campus events. PETA’s letter was prompted by the university’s “Let’s Get Wild” event, which featured numerous exotic animals for students to touch, hold, and have their pictures taken with.
