Worldwide Fashion Distributor Says “No” to Fur

October 2004

In a stunning victory for animals, the Inditex Group has decided to eliminate all its fur products by January 1, 2005, thanks to pressure from PETA members and supporters worldwide. This massive conglomerate is one of the world’s largest fashion distributors, with eight retail divisions and more than 100 companies. “Zara,” one of its most popular retailers, has recently announced the opening of three flagship stores in the most prominent shopping areas of New York, Milan, and Tokyo. Because of Inditex’s compassionate choice, countless lives will be saved.
