Polk State College Allows Students to Opt Out of Dissection

Tipped off by a concerned student at Polk State College, PETA learned that students in the school’s anatomy and physiology courses were being forced to cut open fetal pigs in cruel classroom dissections. Following a letter from PETA that outlined the non-animal alternatives available, the school implemented a policy allowing students to opt out of animal dissection and mandating that they be provided with humane alternatives.
