USDA Cites University for Violations Following PETA Complaint

After PETA obtained evidence that dogs, goats, sheep and other animals who were burned, cut open, and mutilated in painful and deadly experiments at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston were being neglected, denied vital veterinary care, and cruelly handled by improperly trained staff, we filed an extensive complaint with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA inspected the facility, corroborating our allegations and citing it for numerous violations of the Animal Welfare Act.
