Baseball season is in full swing, and that means it’s time for PETA’s ranking of the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Major League Ballparks. And there’s good news for Giants fans: After slipping from the top spot in recent years, AT&T Park has once again grabbed the number one spot in the nation.

“While the Giants battle it out for the top spot in the National League standings, AT&T Park’s vegetarian concessions have sent the stadium soaring into first place in PETA’s national ranking,” says PETA Associate Director Ryan Huling. “Every year, we see more and more vegan options offered at ballparks across the country, which proves that baseball fans are, indeed, on the ball.”

Giants faithful have a powerful lineup of meat-free options to choose from, including frankfurters and artisan hand-formed burgers by Field Roast, vegetable pot stickers, the Cha Cha Bowl (rice, beans, vegetables, and pineapple salsa), made-to-order vegetable tacos and burritos, baked potatoes loaded with grilled veggies, and the crowd-favorite portobello mushroom sandwich.

AT&T Park previously topped PETA’s list in 2011, 2006, and 2005 and placed second from 2007 to 2010. Rounding out the top five are Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia Phillies), PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates), Citi Field (New York Mets), and Nationals Park (Washington Nationals).

PETA also ranked AAA minor league teams. Leading the pack is the Omaha Storm Chasers’ Werner Park, where fans can chow down on black-bean burgers (which can be made vegan by holding the cheese), a hearty tofu dog, and the Philly Cheese Phake, which consists of Gardein’s beef-free and chicken-free strips and can be made vegan by omitting the cheese.

The Giants will receive a framed certificate from PETA. To view the complete rankings, please see PETA’s major league and minor league blog posts.
