The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Drops Vegan Milk Upcharge After PETA Push

After relentless pressure from PETA, including emails from more than 20,000 PETA supporters and a private plea from PETA President Tracy Reiman, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will end its vegan milk upcharge, starting June 3rd. PETA encourages coffee lovers everywhere to support businesses that make choosing vegan milk easy and affordable, including Starbucks, Caribou Coffee, Dunkin’, Dutch Bros, Peet’s Coffee, Scooter’s Coffee, Tim Hortons, and now The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Cows, like all mothers, produce milk only to feed their babies. In the dairy industry, their calves are taken away from them within a day of birth so that the milk meant to nourish them can be sold to humans. BIGGBY is now the last major U.S. coffee chain charging extra for vegan milk. Join us in telling BIGGBY that compassionate choices shouldn’t come with a penalty fee by taking action here.
