Another Major Coffee Chain Drops Vegan Milk Upcharge

After talks with PETA, Caribou Coffee—one of the top U.S. coffeehouses with over 800 locations globally—made customizing drinks with vegan milk free for all customers! Previously, PETA awarded the chain for removing the vegan milk upcharge for Caribou loyalty members who pre-ordered on the app. Now, anyone—including those ordering in-store or not signed up for the rewards program—can select vegan milk without any extra fees. This is a win for cows, the planet, and lactose-intolerant consumers. Caribou is the seventh major coffee chain to drop the upcharge recently, following Starbucks, Dunkin’, Tim Horton’s, Dutch Bros, Scooter’s Coffee, and Peet’s Coffee. It’s never been easier to choose compassionate options. The dairy industry forcibly impregnates mother cows, tears away their babies, and eventually violently kills them for their flesh. Click here to urge The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to follow suit.
