‘Moove’ Aside, Dairy! PETA’s Giving Out 50,000 Pieces of Vegan Cheese Across the Country to Promote Kindness to Cows
To show everyone that there’s nothing grater than vegan cheese, PETA’s hitting the road for a multi-state tour, handing out more than 50,000 pieces of delicious, dairy-free cheese across the country. From Denver and Boulder to Rochester and Philadelphia, we’re spreading compassion—and tasty snacks—one bite at a time.
Chasing the Cheese: See the Highlights From PETA’s Nationwide Vegan Cheese Giveaway
Our kick-off event in the Mile High City was a soaring success. In Denver, our plant-powered “pilots” helped us hand out more than 1,000 pieces of mouth-watering vegan pepperjack cheese from Good Planet Foods.

Let’s just say, the crowd’s reaction was even cheddar than we expected! Cheese tasters raved about how creamy, flavorful, and downright delicious it was—so much so that many came back for seconds (and even thirds!). Dozens were in dis-brie-lief, admitting that they never knew vegan cheese could taste this good.

Don’t miss a bite: Our next stop on the tour is bound to be un-brie-lievable. Stay posted as we bring our animal-friendly cheese giveaway to more cities!
Choose Cheese That Spares Cows
We’re not just handing out vegan cheese to prove that it’s tastier; we’re also on a mission to promote kindness to cows. Cows have friends and mourn when a loved one dies or when they’re separated from each other, yet in the dairy industry, farms forcibly impregnate cows and steal their beloved calves from them so the milk meant to nourish their babies can be sold to humans. When their bodies wear out, they’re sent to slaughter.
Vegan cheese, on the other hand, has none of the cruelty, cholesterol, and climate catastrophe–fueling emissions of its dairy-based counterpart—so every bite is better for animals, your health, and the planet.
Go Vegan!
Did you know that by going vegan, you can spare nearly 200 animals every year, significantly reduce your carbon footprint, and boost your own health? It’s a win for everyone. If you’ve already made the compassionate switch, great! Now help someone else do it, too.
