Following a PETA complaint triggered by our 2023 eyewitness investigation, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigated South Dakota roadside zoo Bear Country U.S.A. and issued it a hazard alert warning, finding that conditions there were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees who entered enclosures to abduct newborn cubs from their anguished mothers.
