PETA Science Consortium International and Its Partners Award Researchers Promoting Animal-Free Test Methods

In partnership with MatTek Life Sciences and MedTec Biolab, PETA Science Consortium International e.V. awarded researchers tools that can replace the use of rats and mice in tests to assess how inhaled chemicals affect the lungs. The Science Consortium also honored an early-career researcher for a poster that he presented at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre Summer School on Non-Animal Approaches in Science on a 3-D model of the human cornea that can assess chemicals for their potential to irritate the eye, without using animals.
