Are You a Stella McCartney Fan?

The following article was written by PETA staffer Royale.

I love Stella McCartney. The brand, the woman, and everything she stands for—"Just say no to leather, fur and python. Everyone knows this about me." I also love covet her home. Featured in Vogue's November issue, it's a country estate, purchased with purpose, after a "desperate mission" to find enough land for her horses. She wasn't the least bit concerned with the house itself! I can certainly relate—Kitty had a hand in choosing our condo. She was a fan of the enclosed patio, which, of course, she now has full reign over.

Forward-thinking women of today know that fur is neither hip nor pretty—themes that are synonymous with Stella's signature feminine and modern design aesthetic. So then, it comes as no surprise that Stella teamed up with PETA to narrate a public service announcement that shows viewers an inside look at what happens on fur farms. More recently, the world-renowned fashion designer collaborated with PETA and Canadian eco-designer Atom Cianfarani on a faux-fur prototype of a Queen's Guard's bearskin cap. "Historically, England has a very high regard for animals, so it makes perfect sense that the MoD should continue shedding ceremonial furs from uniforms," said Stella—and I couldn't agree more!

Stella McCartney clothes, shoes, and accessories are a testament to the idea that vegans can love fashion and animals—I ain't no granola, patchouli slathered hippie babes. Have you seen my Stella McCarteny boots? Just like my fashion idol, I'm committed to spreading the good word about vegan style, and I'm also committed to hooking my readers up with top-notch, cruelty-free fashion finds! So throw on your virtual stilettos, ladies, and head on over to PETA's and Stella McCartney's Facebook fan pages! Give both pages a "like" for a chance to win a Stella McCartney handbag! OMG!

Then, check out Stella's sparkly new site, where customers in the U.S. and U.K. are able to buy online. (Dear Santa, I want Stella.) Shoppers in other countries can still enjoy the new content and design of the site, share their favorite looks, browse exclusive videos and photos, and be the first to hear of special offers and events. Here you can explore Stella's World; we think it's a pretty nice place to live.
