There cannot be any excuse for this type of negligence and abuse. The minute you are aware of a sick or suffering animal he should be given your attention or pass him on to another shelter, vet or temporary rescue person. He is not to be placed in a cage until you decide to wipe the discharge from his eyes, manipulate the bladder, clean the diaper, etc. Anyone can take a few pictures of animals and send mailings world wide claiming they are a rescue facility. Thanks PETA for putting our donations to good use. It would be comforting to think this woman will be given comparable care by our justice system.

Susan Marino needs psychological care. Is she seriously thinking she was doing the right thing??? I'm so glad you were charged and I hope you never get a chance to even OWN your own animal. May those animals find peace on the Rainbow Bridge. PLEASE get those animals relief and care that they need and PLEASE don't her get away with this.

My own dog died under her care...I heard so many horrible things that happened to my sweet Scrappy there and no way to remove him from that place because she wanted the money she was getting from me and other people that didn't know the hell they were living every day! Sorry for all the animales that had to suffer without any help. My special thanks to "KIM" she is the one who deserves everything for making this possible. I hope Susan gets what she deserves, move to HELL is where you must live from now on. THANKS PETA, good job and hope you continue helping our animals.

Seeing Malcom like this really tears me up...poor baby had to suffer because this selfish woman didnt care...how can this place still be open? it seems nobody cares except us who are bringing this to the attention of people who could actually do something about it...THIS LADY HAS TO BE CLOSED DOWN FOR GOOD...come on, these animals are clearly suffering a miserable life into death :(

Ok, so now it is January 2012 and since May we have been waiting for an investigation to be done by the Delaware County DAs office. That has been done and on Friday, December 30th Susan Marino from Angels Gate was arrested and charged with five counts of animal neglect and one count of illegal drug possession. Unfortunately it has taken time and now we need to contact the Delaware District attorneys office to get these animals seized, have Susan Marinos non for profit status revoked and this place closed down!!!!!!!!!

The pictures obviously strike a heart string, but all the problems presented on the website, though very informative and eye-opening, are overwhelming. Just the sheer number of problems, as illustrated in this slideshow, makes the thought of a solution feel impossible

I can't imagine that PETA has anything to gain by launching these allegations if they didn't have fairly solid footage & grounds for doing so. They are voice for & protectors of animals & would NOT go out of their way to discredit a sole who is 'walking beside them' in the fight to help any injured animal. There aren't enough people in the world to ease the suffering of animals, so to discredit someone who is fighting the good fight would be self-defeating. One can therefore only conclude there has to be substance to the allegations. I can imagine there would be an amazing amount of time & effort required to look after a handful of animals let alone hundreds if you were attempting to do most of it on your own. And perhaps she started out with the best of intentions................ or did she. Or perhaps she realises there is a LOT of money to be 'gathered' from those who aren't in a position to help their ill pet & feel they are doing the right thing by surrendering it to AG, & then only too willing to pay whatever is needed financially for that reassurance ??? And how much did Oprah donate ??? It would be interesting to view her Accounts. If she is found guilty of any of the allegations she will be knocking on HELL'S GATES for the rest of her life.

Many will want to come to the defense of this rescue!! I'm sorry if this story depicted one, two or at the most 3 diseased animals I could see that. BUT IT DOES NOT. There are too many in my eyes, regardless that have been neglected. Sure none of us ever want to believe that a rescue that has had celebrity status associated with it could actually be a diseased rescue in and of itself.. Many times in this rescue business people don't want to admit they need help, that they can do it on their own. When that type of mentality comes to light, then you are no longer doing it for the animals, you are doing it for yourself. The day I stop looking through the eyes of the very souls who depend on me for care, will be the day that I need to get out and hang it up.. A picture is worth a 1000 words. If those animals could talk there would be more words than that. Thank GOD these pictures do speak..

When I first learned of Angels Gate it was when Oprah did a segment on the wonderful work she was doing and I believe Oprah donated a large amt of money to her. I'm really confused since I so believed she was almost saint-like doing the emotionally draining work so few people would even want to do. I'll admit that some of those pics were unsettling - but - could some of the pics just have been taken at the wrong time -like just before an animal was to have their diaper changed. I actually was going to put AG in my will 'cause I so admired their work. I'll wait on that, of course. She seems like a woman that is very overwhelmed and might need much more help. I have 6 cats and 1 bird. One is in kidney failure and one has bladder stones and needs surgery and another has Fiv and I feel so much of my time goes into trying to take care of all my guys the right way and Susan has how many animals? Hundreds, all needing very special care.God, how phyically and emotionally draining it that! If what PETA says is true---I am so disillusioned with AG. The dogs turning non stop in cribs is so disturbing.

Hell on Earth would be a better name for this Auschwitz for animals. I'm shocked that some people expect us to believe that this suffering is ok. Unbelievable. Thank you PETA. Another victory for these poor animals. No wonder the animal industry..those who profit from the misery of animals..hate PETA. You do a wonderful job, and I'm more than happy to make a donation knowing that you are helping the voiceless.

Comments have been made about the media, but realistically, a cats infection with green pus dripping from their noses, and their eyes glued shut with infection, does not happen overnight. Nor do you takean animal in with that type of infection to the general population. Folks, wake up, these are real situations that have to be stopped now! These poor animals are suffering, from infections, from lack of food, lack of water, lack of care and love. I would not leave my animal there after viewing these pictures. This is in her home, not a building or a pole barn, but her house. I would hate to imagine what the rest of it looks like. So, just because you do not especially care for media presentation, something still needs to be done, NOW, not after they are suffering and ill.

This is horrible!!! I really wish the world would end so that all of this wouldn't happen anymore. I mean, animals can't speak for themselves. It's not fair, I cannot imagine what God must be feeling when he sees this from up in the sky. This woman should be charged. There's no excuse, Peta went undercover and captured THIS, End of story, there's enough evidence already. There should be a petition or something to shut her down. The Gov't shouldn't approve of this, or of the Seal Slaughter or the Chinese Fur thing, Elephant Ringling....Grrr D:

Camille hankins is another convicted animal abuser-hoarder and she slanders peta for convicting her and despite all the pictures posted here, she is slandering peta that it is full of lies. these hoarders are as dangerous to animals as pedophiles are to children
