Animal Experiments at SPCA of Wake County

Written by PETA | September 29, 2010

A video on You Tube reveals that the SPCA of Wake County, which helped rescue animals from Professional Laboratory and Research Services, Inc. (PLRS), is now conducting its own experiments on the animals—and we don’t care!

That’s because the “experiments” consist of collecting “data” on key “parameters” such as “petting sweet spot” and “favorite toy.” Get ready to smile as you watch these formerly tormented animals get some long overdue tummy rubs and smooches.

Our thanks go out to the SPCA of Wake County, the Virginia Beach SPCA, and the other animal shelters and rescue groups that took in the more than 250 animals rescued from PLRS after the laboratory closed in the wake of a PETA undercover investigation—although I guess those purrs and wagging tails are probably all the thanks they need.

Very nice, but isn’t it still an abuse to have these animals confined in small cages? At least,I hope these animals will find new homes after the pleasant experiment is over….

@ PETA- What does , “We Don’t Care” mean? The ‘experiment’ that the SPCA of Wake County conducted was very bright and cheery and 2 of the rescued animals have found permanent homes. Another good video is posted by tribeagles.org

Loved this video! Amazing how these guys could live through such horror at the hands of people. (I use the word “people” loosely) and yet be so loving towards the S.P.C.A staff. They truly do understand.

This thrills my heart! I watched the horrible video of these animals being abused, and it makes me so happy to see wagging tails and just pure joy on all of their faces!! I called and left a message on the PLRS machine and intended to leave one every day until something was done…. but the phone was disconnected on the second day. I was praying it was a sign of good things to come! I am so happy I want to cry!!! I just wonder what happened to Clementine who had been through their abuse for seven years!!!
