The Southern District of Indiana awarded fees and costs to PETA against Tim Stark and Wildlife in Need as a result of its prior Endangered Species Act (ESA) victory totaling $733,997.70. Because we were already owed $19,234.40 in unpaid fee awards, we’ll seek to recover $753,232.10. The award to PETA follows our groundbreaking and successful litigation resulting in the rescue of 25 big cats and establishing that declawing procedures, maternal separation of big-cat cubs, and cub-petting events violated the ESA.
