Tennessee School District Drops Live Animal Labs

August 2011

PETA immediately wrote to Tennessee’s Campbell County school district after being contacted by a concerned individual who reported cruel classroom experiments on hatched chicks and live fish at Campbell County High School. PETA urged the school district to investigate and end the use of all live animals in its classrooms. After months of follow-up by PETA, the school district confirmed that experiments on live animals at all schools in the district are no longer allowed.
