Portland Pickles Issued a Warning Letter for Alligator Display Following PETA Complaint

After PETA asked Multnomah County Animal Services to investigate the Portland Pickles—a collegiate summer baseball team in Oregon—for allowing an alligator to be displayed on “Animal Appreciation Night,” in apparent violation of a local ordinance, the agency sent the baseball team and Newport Discovery Zoo (the exhibitor that apparently supplied the alligator) a letter warning against including dangerous or exotic animals at future events.
