PETA Scientists Present, Win Awards on Non-Animal Testing at Major Toxicology Conference

At the Society of Toxicology annual meeting, the world’s largest toxicology event, PETA scientists chaired sessions, presented posters, and took home awards for Best Paper for their work on replacing the use of live rabbits in eye irritation tests, Best Poster for their work on replacing the use of rats in inhalation tests, and Best Poster Abstract (third place) for their work on replacing the use of rabbits in pyrogen testing for medical devices . PETA scientists also participated in mentorship events to help researchers advance their careers in non-animal toxicology testing.
