PETA Halts Planned Lethal Calf-Training Demonstration

After hearing from a concerned individual about a planned training demonstration in which a live calf would have had vaccines administered and then be killed, PETA immediately contacted the course’s sponsor, the Pennsylvania Beef Council, to urge it to cancel the cruel exercise. We also shared information on modern and humane non-animal training methods. After diligently following up with the organizers, PETA received confirmation from the council that the demonstration had been canceled and only videos and other simulation methods would be used in the future.
