Japan-based T.Hasegawa Co.—a multimillion-dollar top-10 leader in the global flavor and fragrance industry—agreed to ban all experiments on animals for the purpose of making health claims about its foods. It made the decision after talking with PETA about ways it could replace invasive and deadly animal tests with more effective, ethical, non-animal research methods.
