Thanks to PETA, more than 280 brands worldwide have banned mohair in just a matter of months! Each year, the mohair industry exploits, roughly handles, and mutilates countless gentle, sensitive angora goats. After workers determine that they’re no longer producing enough hair, they’re sent to be slaughtered. Recent mohair bans have been enacted at major retailers including Ralph Lauren, Crate & Barrel, CB2, Brooks Brothers, Quiksilver, Roxy, DC Shoes, Billabong, and Lands’ End. Urge Free People to be the next to ban the cruelly obtained material.
