Major Mattress Maker Cuts Ties with Animal Beheader After Talks With PETA
Emma, the global billion-dollar mattress company and world’s largest direct-to-consumer sleep brand, has made the compassionate decision to close its online storefront on HKTVmall by the end of 2026. The move comes after PETA alerted Emma that HKTVmall’s parent company, HKTV, pays experimenters to slice up animals in gruesome tests. Once a featured HKTVmall partner, Emma now joins a growing list of companies putting ethics over profits by leaving the shopping platform and preventing any commissions or fees from helping fund HKTV’s deadly experiments on animals.
At Emma, we know that sleeping well is also about having a clear conscience. As soon as we learned about the troubling animal testing funded by HKTVmall’s parent company, Emma decided not to continue its commercial relationship with HKTVmall, with the store closing and the relationship fully concluded by the end of the year. We appreciate and support PETA bringing this matter to our attention.” – Emma – The Sleep Company
