PETA and The Wild Animal Sanctuary Rescue Lions From G.W. Zoo

Along with The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, PETA rescued three juvenile lions, including sick lion Nala, from Jeff Lowe’s Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (aka “G.W. Zoo”). The U.S. Department of Agriculture ordered Lowe to provide Nala with immediate veterinary care in June, but on the day of her rescue, we found her with severe lameness in one of her hind legs. The G.W. Zoo and Lowe have now been notified of our intent to sue. We aim to stop Lowe from continuing to harm animals like Nala, just as we successfully stopped Tim Stark from continuing to harm animals at Wildlife in Need, his roadside zoo in Indiana.
