Leading Luxury Travel Network Drops Animal Rides at the Giza Pyramids

After hearing from PETA, Virtuoso—a leading global network of travel agencies with more than 20,000 travel advisors and over 2,200 hotel, cruise line, and tour operator partners—agreed to stop offering horse and camel rides at the Giza pyramids! It also shared PETA Asia’s investigation with all affected travel partners. This exciting news is another nail in the coffin of the practice of exploiting horses and camels at the Giza pyramid complex. Animals will continue to suffer as long as tourists pay for rides and photo ops with them. Help end this suffering by urging Egypt’s minister of tourism to use only non-animal transportation.
