Grand Circle Corporation Removes Elephant Rides Across All Its Brands

After more than 315,000 PETA members and supporters told Grand Circle Corporation that they oppose the cruelty inherent in elephant rides—for which the animals are forcibly separated from their mothers as babies, tied down, beaten mercilessly, and gouged with sharp weapons—the company committed to no longer offering these rides from any of its travel companies, including Grand Circle Cruise Line, Grand Circle Travel, and Overseas Adventure Travel. By making this compassionate decision, the corporation joins dozens of businesses that have turned their backs on this abusive industry.
