DirectBuy Ditches Fur in All National Showrooms

After receiving complaints from DirectBuy members about the company’s sale of items made with fox, mink, and beaver fur, PETA contacted DirectBuy’s president to inform him of the horrifying abuses endured by animals who are killed for their skin on fur farms and in the wild. DirectBuy–the nation’s largest franchiser of members-only consumer buying centers–responded by pulling all fur from its catalog and its 145 showrooms throughout the U.S. and Canada.
