26 Years Later, the Dalton Lions Club Ends Cruel Animal Circus

After 26 years of hosting notoriously cruel animal circuses such as Cole Bros. Circus (which is no longer touring), Kelly Miller Circus (which has since dropped animal acts), and the Zerbini Family Circus, the Dalton Lions Club in Massachusetts announced that it will no longer host animal circuses! In a statement, the club’s president said, “It is time to move on to other projects,” and privately, the club conceded that the move was in response to opposition from animal groups and local protests.
