A King County Superior Court judge ordered the University of Washington (UW) to pay PETA $539,902.45 in fees and penalties following our public records lawsuit. This came after the court found that UW had improperly withheld records detailing financial and leadership crises as well as the deaths of monkeys at its Washington National Primate Research Center.
