Bowhunting Halted in Virginia Wildlife Preserve

October 2004

Thanks to pressure from PETA, Portsmouth, Virginia, City Council members agreed to halt their plan to have bowhunters kill deer living in a wildlife preserve. We are working with officials to develop a more humane deer-control program.
