Birds in California Saved From Netting Dangers

Netting was put up on the pier to prevent birds from roosting. As often happens with netting, over time it developed holes through which birds entered then couldn’t find their way out. We notified pier officials, and they have fixed it so that birds won’t get stuck anymore and are also looking into our recommendation to use safer deterrents.
