Ban on Testing Cosmetics on Animals Now Permanent in India

The fight against tests on animals for cosmetics has reached another important milestone, as India added a new clause to its Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, officially banning all animal tests for cosmetics following an intense campaign by PETA India and work by Indian Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi and others.
