Baltimore Adopts Dissection-Choice Policy

March 2013

Following discussions with PETA, Baltimore City Public Schools adopted a progressive dissection-choice policy that allows compassionate students to opt out of cruel classroom animal dissection and use humane non-animal methods instead. To help facilitate implementation of the new policy, PETA donated virtual dissection software and computer equipment to the district and co-led training sessions for teachers.
