Awake Bans Animal-Derived Materials in Its Watches

After discussions with PETA, Awake Watches—a Paris-based company supported by French President Emmanuel Macron—confirmed that it’s no longer ordering leather straps. Furthermore, it pledged to be free of all animal-derived materials once it sells its current leather stock. The environmental-focused company made the right decision for the planet given the leather industry’s massive contribution to climate disasters along with the cruelty inflicted on cows. Urge Levi’s and other brands to join Awake in banning leather.
