Animal Hoarders Plead Guilty to Abuse

Last summer, we received a tip that animals were languishing in filthy and desperate conditions at Cajun Country Ranch Rescue in Wilburton, Oklahoma. We promptly began working with local law enforcement and trusted animal welfare groups in the area, and a raid of the property was quickly executed. Ninety-three animals were seized and owners Anne and Shane Duhon recently pleaded guilty to animal and child abuse charges. They have been sentenced to five years probation and have been banned from owning animals during that period.
