After hearing from PETA and more than 60,000 of our members and supporters about notorious Iditarod musher Dallas Seavey’s long record of cruel treatment of animals, American Pistachio Growers made the compassionate decision to end its sponsorship of the musher. Animal abuse is inherent in the Iditarod, and dogs Dallas Seavey has forced to race have tested positive for opioids, his kennel was accused of killing dogs who weren’t fast or fit enough to compete, and a whistleblower reported finding dying puppies on his property. Help keep victories coming for dogs by urging Iditarod sponsors to follow American Pistachio Growers’ lead in cutting ties with this cruel industry.
