Erwin-Penland—an ad agency that is affiliated with Hill-Holiday, the number 18–ranked agency in the U.S.—is one of many companies that has vowed never again to use great apes in advertising. Erwin-Penland’s long list of clients includes Verizon Wireless, Denny’s, Michelin, United Way, ScanSource, and Advance America.
