After learning that PETA’s undercover investigation into Austin Aquarium in Austin, Texas, revealed evidence that animals were denied veterinary care, wildlife were abandoned, and there were dozens of incidents in which animals injured customers and staff, 10 websites quickly took down promotions for the sleazy mall aquarium. They include travel sites and blogs, such as TourScanner and The Planet D; media outlets, such as Time Out and Kev’s Best; and local businesses, such as Realty Austin, Ideal Turf, and the University Co-op. So Much Life, an Austin lifestyle blog, even posted a link to the investigation to show why it will no longer recommend Austin Aquarium. Join us in urging the remaining supporters to follow suit.
