Canadian Retailer Simons Is Banning Fur

Canadian retailer Simons is banning fur after learning from PETA and more than 65,000 compassionate supporters that most of the world’s fur comes from farms where animals are forced to live inside filthy, barren wire cages that are so small, they can take only a few steps in any direction. Many animals languish with untreated wounds, diseases, and missing limbs. At the end of their short, miserable lives, workers electrocute or gas them or even break their necks and then peel their skin off so that companies can sell their fur. Despite learning about the cruelty inherent in the fur industry, Saks Fifth Avenue, Alice and Olivia, and other companies continue to sell fur. Please urge them to stop.
